Review: The untimely end of Rage Of Achilles label saw these Swedes start their own - always a bold move. The new album sees them ditch the bright colours and cravats of 2003´s "Rainbowride", and adopt a darker aesthetic; former upbeat titles like "groove Hotel" giving away to "Self Destruction" and "Evil Demon". The tunes however remain the same-ish. On the face of it, KS are a straight Swedish stoner/garage band, but even a cursory listener betrays more than a hint of Entombed. Hell, at one point what sounded like an At The Gates riff popped up, but played with all the dirty scuzz of a biker gang´s initiation ritual while Andy Wong´s voice possesses more gravel than a Surrey driveway, enough to make Lemmy feel like a proud father. Perhaps the record needed for those who´ve been loosing sleep at night wondering what Clutch would have sounded like if they´d been born in a longship.
